We have a lawn!

Well, we have lots of squares of turf laid, which hopefully will thrive in their new home and become a lawn. At the beginning of last week, when we did most of the groundwork, it was hot and sunny but after we'd laid the turf it changed to cloudy and wet - just right I think.

So here's how it looks from the end of the Japanese garden:

And from the patio:

  1. Diane, it looks great!! Well done! Can't wait to come over and see it in person :-)

  2. Wow! That looks wonderful! Keep it watered and it will grow in lush and lovely! What a huge area you did. It's going to be so useful....

I love that you are RIGHT NEXT to the tambo! I used to live near them but never that close. My son's elementary school is surrounded by tambo which we love, but I'm in a suburban housing area now which disappoints me slightly (though we do live about two streets from the very edge, which is beet fields and a cross country ski area in winter.)
